Since each CodeMeter Stick can manage more than 1000 vendor-independent licenses, multiple software publishers can share a single CodeMeter stick for all their licenses. This allows the publishers to split the cost of the hardware device across multiple sales.
The user needs only one CodeMeter Stick instead of multiple dongles, even for multiple licenses from different vendors, simplifying their life considerably.
As a software vendor you can share a CodeMeter Stick with other vendors. If your customer already owns a CodeMeter stick, you get the following advantages:

- No cost and effort for shipping
- No delay due to physical delivery
Different Firm Codes
As a software vendor, you get your own individual Firm Code together with your Firm Security Box (FSB). This Firm Code is unique and assigned by Wibu-Systems to each vendor.
CodeMeter Sticks are shipped unprogrammed by Wibu-Systems. You first create a Firm Item with your Firm Code.
Each CodeMeter Stick can store many Firm Items with different Firm Codes. Each vendor owns with his Firm Item an area in a CodeMeter Stick.
Many Product Codes
In the second step, you can create your Product Items assigned to your Firm Item. Each Product Item has a Product Code and additionally some Product Item Options.
The memory area for your Firm Item is managed by the CodeMeter Stick automatically. Using your Firm Security Box, you can only program data in your Firm Item. The locking of a CodeMeter Stick and the creation of remote update files is done separately and independently for each Firm Item using our patented scheme.
