Lost Dongles

CodeMeter offers the option to lock a lost dongle automatically.

The internal real-time clock in a CodeMeter Stick is updated using tamper-proof certificates from a global network of Wibu-Systems owned time servers. You select the update interval and define if it is mandatory.

If you use this procedure, you are secure in promptly sending a free replacement for lost or broken CodeMeter Sticks to your customers. You report the serial number of the lost CodeMeter Stick to us, we take care of the rest.

Enabling Demo Versions

Do you want to offer your potential customers a demo version of your software using a CodeMeter Stick? We can offer you a complete service for this. We send the CodeMeter Stick to the customer and let him transfer the demo license over the Internet from our CodeMeter portal.

Selling Your Software

Besides the transfer of demo licenses, we can handle the complete online sales process for your software. We can add your product to our CodeMeter sales portal.

Move a License

Your customer owns a CodeMeter Stick with your product license and would like to transfer this license to another CodeMeter Stick. We can do this for you. You define the conditions and we take care of all other steps.

Backup and Restore

Your customer can backup the license information and user data from his CodeMeter Stick. This backup file will be automatically signed with the CodeMeters certified time — this is the time of the last online update. The time is important for pay-per-use licenses. Depending on the date of the backup information, you decide, how many pay-per-use units are restored to your customer.
