As a partner in technology of the semiconductor industry, the ESEC Group offers outstanding solutions for the manufacturing of semiconductors. The main competencies are also used for production of chip cards.
Die Bonder 2008 xP is a modular built machine. The basic machine can be expanded/upgraded by optional soft-and hardware. ESEC decided to deliver/ship the full functionality of the software in order to avoid a confusing quantity of software variants. Therefore, the single functions need to be protected. For this purpose, ESEC deploys WibuKey on the xP platform.
To administer the WibuBoxes, the web application “Option Manager” (integrated into the ESEC homepage) has been developed. This application has a central database and provides all necessary functions for programming and administering the WibuBoxes. The application is used by internal personnel as well as by our customers (release of newly bought functions).

Motorola uses GATE software (Generic Automated Test Environment) for testing and synchronizing our GSM, TDMA, CDMA and our future 3G mobiles.
We deploy WibuBoxes because they offer us reliable and scaleable protection we need for our GATE systems. With Remote Programming - one of the important features of WibuKey - we can extremely fast and inexpensively react on the new requirements of the worldwide GATE users and release the WibuBoxes for other modules of our software.
The reprogramming of the WibuBoxes is done automatically via an intranet server.
