CodeMeter lets ISVs choose between hardware (CmDongle) and software (CodeMeterAct) license storage, providing a flexible solution for different markets with different risk levels. The CodeMeter hardware device offers virtually uncrackable protection against theft of code, algorithms, data, or other IP in USB, SD, CF, Micro SD, or ASIC chip.
This user-friendly device stores more than 1000 vendor-independent licenses and controls the creation of and combination of complex license models enabling revenue building models like: Concurrent network licenses, evaluation, pay-per-use, time-restricted or leasing versions. Using AES encryption with ECC key management inside a SmartCard ASIC, our unique anti-hacking technologies make it harder for the bad guys to employ debuggers, electron microscopes and differential power analysis (DPA) techniques. The CodeMeter system includes GUI interfaces and wizards that make the implementation tasks a snap. Available with up to 16 GB of flash memory (SLC or MLC).
