Marcellus Buchheit
Marcellus Buchheit, born in 1962 in Germany, is President and CEO of Wibu-Systems USA Inc, located in Edmonds (north of Seattle) and is also Chairman of the Board at Wibu-Systems AG in Germany.
He co-founded Wibu-Systems AG together with Oliver Winzenried in 1989. In the same year he completed his studies at the University of Karlsruhe, one of the few elite Universities in Germany, as Diplom Informatiker (comparable with a MSCS degree, Master of Science in Computing Science).
He is the original architect of the WibuKey, CodeMeter and SmartShelter product lines. He is an expert in designing methods to protect against reverse-engineering, tampering and debugging of software; he developed many techniques in this field.
He has been an independent Windows development consultant since 1988, and is the author of many articles in German software development magazines. He is also known as the author of the one of the first books written in German about Windows programming. The book became a standard and was known unofficially as “The Bible.” He was an independent Microsoft Regional Director and MVP between 1996 and 2004. At the age of 15, he not only wrote his first software programs, but he also developed his first microprocessor-based computer.

Oliver Winzenried
Oliver Winzenried, born in 1962 in Germany, is Chairman of the Board at Wibu-Systems USA, Inc. He is also co-founder and CEO of Wibu-Systems AG in Germany.
He graduated in 1987 as Diplom-Ingenieur Elektrotechnik (MSc Electrical Engeineering) from the University of Karlsruhe, one of three Elite Universities in Germany. He has extensive knowledge in the development of ASIC components, PC hardware, and communication interfaces. His widespread management experience and leadership style are the reasons his company has enjoyed strong growth, stability and profitability. Currently, he is an active member of the BITKOM board and serves on the development association board of the FZI Forschungszentrum Informatik. Moreover, he participates in standardization bodies and international Research and Development projects.
